In Gunbound, there are four basic types of weapons: 1. Impact 2. Beam 3. Electrical 4. Explosive Strategy is an important part of being successful in Gunbound. Choose your opponent wisely to maximize the effectiveness of your Mobile’s attack. Remember, explosive weapons are highly effective against all Mobile types. |
| Impact weapons cause damage by transferring their kinetic energy to the target. Impact projectiles can bypass defensive shields and so are very effective against Shield Mobiles, but are weak against Mobiles with thick physical armor. Mobiles that inflict impact damage are usually weak against electric and beam attacks. | |

| Beam weapons transmit destructive force through a focused beam of coherent energy waves or energetic particles. They inflict the greatest damage on Bionic Mobiles but are particularly ineffective against Shield Mobiles. The defensive fields projected by Shield Mobiles disperse and reflect attacking beams to minimize damage. | |

| Electrical weapons damage opponents through the sudden, focused discharge of electrical potential. Electrical weapons are most effective against the alloy and ceramic armor of Mechanical Mobiles. Electrical weapons are least effective against Bionic Mobiles. | |

| Explosive weapons are more accurately described as explosive projectile weapons. They deliver destructive force not only through impact, but also through their explosive blast. As a result, explosive weapons are highly effective against all Mobile types. | |
